  • Position: Media Assistant – Social Media Specialist – MOAHDepartment: Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Community Services – Arts & Museums Salary: Range: $19.45 – $22.52/hour Non - Exempt – Overtime Eligible Job Summary: Under general supervision, assists in the development and implementation of the Lancaster Museum of Art and History's social media strategy and online presence. This role is responsible for maintaining the museum's social networks, mailing lists and newsletters, and the museum's websites. Additionally, the Media Assistant – Social Media Specialist will be a key member of the marketing team, analyzing social media insights, and website analytics. Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • NoneExample of Duties & Responsibilities:Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
      • Develop, implement and manage museum's social media strategy
      • Define most important social media and newsletter KPIs
      • Compose newsletter layouts
      • Develop engagement, retention, and retargeting strategies
      • Evaluation of social media and newsletter campaigns
      • Manage and oversee social media content
      • Measure the success of every social media campaign
      • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
      • Use social media marketing tools such as buffer
      • Attend educational conferences
      • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
      • Provide constructive feedback 2+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
      • Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
      • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, Google Business and Ads, as well as, other social media best practices
      • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
      • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
      • Good understanding of social media and newsletter KPIs
      • Familiarity with web design and publishing
      • Excellent multitasking skills
      • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
