About the Position:Join a dynamic and innovative team that is shaping the future of space exploration! Our client, a leader in space technology, is looking for one or more talented Structural/Mechanical Engineers to join their Mojave location. This position will play a crucial role in developing Xogdor, a cutting-edge vertical-takeoff vertical-landing rocket that will serve as a suborbital testbed for NASA, defense, and commercial customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, integrating, and testing the rocket's physical components and systems, working closely with other departments within the company and its customers.Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience in design and analysis of prototype components and tooling
• Expertise in Solidworks
• Strong documentation and presentation skills
• Familiarity with a wide range of materials and material processes
• Knowledge of interfacing systems such as aerodynamics, GNC, thermal, electrical, and propulsion
• Ability to analyze data from various sensors (strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure transducers, accelerometers, etc.)
• Strong hand calculations and basic FEA skillsRequirements:
  • Solidworks skills beyond basic CAD work (drawing generation, FEA analysis, Flow Simulation, etc.)
  • Familiarity with best practices for bonding and fastening composite structures
  • Drawing generation & GD&T
  • Ability to assess components for manufacturability
  • Experience with additive manufacturing and hands-on fabrication experience (manual mill and lathe, CNC operation, welding processes)
  • Rocket launch conops
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State to conform to government export regulationsOur client offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $140,000, and a comprehensive total rewards package.
