Find your future with us.The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) group is looking for an F-22 Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer to join our Flight Test and Evaluation team in Edwards AFB, CA; located approximately 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles, CA.Edwards AFB is the home of the 412th Test Wing and the 2nd largest Air Force base. The wing oversees base day-to-day operations and provides support for over 10,000 military, federal civilian and contract personnel assigned to a 481-square mile installation. The 412th Test Wing plans, conducts, analyzes, and reports on all flight and ground testing of aircraft, weapons systems, software and components as well as modeling and simulation for the U.S. Air Force. There are three core components for this mission: flying operations, maintenance and engineering.The Boeing Company supports multiple platforms at Edwards AFB. This posting is for the support of the 411th Flight Test Squadron, F-22 Combined Test Force (CTF) where Boeing works directly with our Air Force customer and our industry partners supporting its mission to improve the warfighting capabilities of the Air Force through system integration, development, test and evaluation of the F-22 Raptor. This MRB team is comprised of both Boeing and Lockheed Martin engineers.The site is comprised of a diverse team of Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) employees who are extremely motivated, skilled, knowledgeable, and highly valued by our customers and business partners.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced or Senior Level F-22 Combined Test Force MRB Engineers.Position Responsibilities:

  • Document and disposition, discrepant material and structural anomalies on and off the aircraft
  • Research and coordination to obtain and/or create solutions to complex and/or unique situations for use by engineering and maintenance organizations
  • This position will require working flexible hours and both day and night shifts
  • Available to work some overtime, occasional weekends and/or possible on-call status when necessary to support flight test activitiesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.-- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.Active F-22 program access is preferred, but if not currently active, must be able to obtain F-22 program access.-- If, at any time, the applicant loses their security clearance, this will be grounds for dismissal.-- Security clearance information must be provided in resume to be considered for position.--Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
    • Experience in aircraft structural repair processes and techniques
    • Experience working with machine shop processes, prototype development, or fabrication processesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • --Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
      • Prior MRB Engineering Experience in the Flight-Testing Environment
      • Current F-22 Program Access
      • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
      • Knowledge of Universal Product Review (UPR) including Material Review Authorization (MRA), Materials Review Board (MRB) processes, supplier delegated MRB processes (e.g., authorization, qualification, maintenance, disclosure), and post-production review
      • Knowledge of repair concepts including repair station processes, component repair concepts, procedures, and warranty processes and contractual agreements
      • Knowledge of engineering analysis (e.g. mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability)Typical Education/Experience:-- Experienced (Level 3)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
