history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Structural
Analysis or Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team
of qualified diverse individuals. In Vehicle Engineering, we
develop manned and unmanned aircraft platforms for all programs in
the Aeronautics Systems Sector.This position will be located at
Edwards AFB will work a 9/80 work shift.Duties for this position
include:Provides stress MRB dispositions for primary and secondary
structure.Maintains and improves part designs, equipment, and
systems in support of production deliveries.Supervise design
solutions from initial concept to final implementation.Coordination
and clear communication with other disciplines during the
development of design solutions.Research, develop, design, test,
document, and recommend solutions to engineering
mechanical/composite components and assemblies.Produces engineering
documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and
schematics).Concise presentation and explanation of structural
issues/solutions to internal management and customer
representatives.Performs structural analysis to a wide variety of
designs and materials including both composites and metals.
Analysis includes but not limited to static, dynamic, fatigue and
damage tolerance.Review of completed analyses, drawings, and
repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.Evaluation of
engineering products for conformity to standards, procedures, and
specifications.This position may be filled at either the Structural
Analysis Engineer or Principal Structural Analysis Engineer
level.Basic Qualifications for Structural Analysis
Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 2 years of relevant
experience OR a Master's Degree in STEM with 0 years of
experience.Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and
documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the
development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.Must
have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance. This
clearance must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as
determined by the company to meet its business needs.Must have the
ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
clearance prior to the commencement of employment. This clearance
must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined
by the company to meet its business needs.Basic Qualifications for
Principal Structural Analysis Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in STEM
with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree in STEM
with 3 years of related experience OR a PhD in STEM with 0 years of
experience.Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and
documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the
development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.Must
have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance. This
clearance must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as
determined by the company to meet its business needs.Must have the
ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
clearance prior to the commencement of employment. This clearance
must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined
by the company to meet its business needs.Preferred Qualifications
for both levels:Active DoD clearanceAdvanced degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace
EngineeringAerospace structural analysis experience using NASTRAN,
PATRAN, or FEMAP.Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis
of primary and secondary aircraft structuresExperience with
analysis of composite and/or metallic structure and repair
methodsExperience in structural testing (building block or
full-scale test)Experience as a Lead Engineer managing a small
group of analystsAnalysis experience in a MRB roleExperience
working on Special Access ProgramsExperience working on military
aircraftExperience with durability and damage tolerance (DaDT) of
aircraft structuresSalary Range: $85,000 USD - $127,400 USDSalary
Range 2: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
