mission. We're looking for someone to join our team as a System
Director, Performance Improvement & Clinical Outcomes who:
Maintains responsibility for planning and implementing performance
improvement based on the organization's clinical quality goals and
strategies. Consistently contributes to the organization's goals
through active participation in quality improvement teams and
clinical quality councils. Collaborates and supports clinical data
analysis for core measures, hospital-acquired conditions/patient
safety indicators (HAC/PSI), mortality, and value-based purchasing.
Helps key process owners with data collection, analysis, and
actionable data reporting. Collaborates with the quality team to
establish, implement, and maintain policies/procedures for
performance improvement activities. Provides research, analytical
and consultative services/support to executives and quality staff,
including system and market stakeholders. Collaborates and supports
creating and maintaining organizational scorecard presentations and
provides statistical analysis to the organization that serves as a
foundation for decision making. Essential Functions: Manages and
aligns data from multiple resources to prepare reports and
statistical analysis effectively and efficiently. Creates
analytical reports to identify and monitor activities. Identifies
and summarizes information collected to identify patterns, trends,
and individual cases requiring intensive evaluation. Consults with
intra- and inter-departmental personnel to review, interpret and
improve data/statistical analysis and reporting for improved
decision-making.Deploys and supports all phases of organizational
projects and initiatives and guides teams and departments to
successful implementation. Supports the process for project
selection, prioritization, project charter development, work plan,
communication plan, and resource management. Serves as a data
consultant and participates in organizational improvement teams
focusing on quality and performance improvement studies as
required. Helps prepare and create graphs of results for external
audit applications. Supports the organization's internal
performance assessments as a certified auditor.Collaborates to
develop a comprehensive, highly reliable program across the
continuum of care and implements the organization's vision of
excellence in clinical and quality outcomes and patient safety.
Executes the agreed-upon structure with the system leadership.
Focuses on activities that support the organizational care
transformation initiatives and projects. Works closely with the
market leaders of quality, physician leaders nursing leadership,
and the entire staff within the designated region.Collaborates and
supports clinical data analysis and performance improvement for
core measures, HAC/PSI, mortality, value-based purchasing,
disease-specific quality improvement (QI), (e.g., stroke, stemi,
cardiac, cardiothoracic outcomes).Performs other job-related duties
as assigned. QualificationsYou'll be successful with the following
qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
combination of education/related experience: RequiredMaster's
Degree in nursing or other appropriate clinical field or public
health or equivalent combination of education/experience: Required
Work Experience: Seven years related experience: PreferredThree
years' healthcare quality leadership: PreferredFive years
leadership experience: Preferred Required Licenses/Certifications:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or plan to
obtain within 1 year of starting employment: RequiredRN or other
clinical experience: Required Adventist Health is committed to the
