Job Overview
The Logistics Manager oversees all material handling and movements within the site, including inbound and outbound material flow. Responsible for ensuring the timely flow of materials and purchased parts across warehouse functions such as receiving, kitting, cycle counting, put away, shipping, and outside processing. Accountable for inventory accuracy, KPI reporting, and driving continuous improvement. Provides leadership to Supervisors and employees across these areas and supports other projects as assigned.
Summary of Duties

• Manage daily logistics functions, including performance tracking to meet customer requirements.
  
• Develop and document work procedures, prepare work schedules, and ensure adequate staffing.
  
• Ensure compliance with Safran standards for cycle count accuracy and completeness.
  
• Plan stockroom layout considering item turnover, size, and weight.
  
• Align stockroom processes with manufacturing's continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Develop plans to reduce freight costs annually.
  
• Oversee training programs as needed.
  
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions to meet objectives.
  
• Implement business processes to improve supply chain performance and reduce costs.
  
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  
• Organize and manage time effectively, adapting to changing priorities.
  
• Improve logistics processes, including parts receiving, manufacturing and customer order picking, stock management, packing, shipping, and vendor inventory management.
  
• Perform staffing analysis to support manufacturing, repairs, and shipping.
  
• Communicate activities and strategies aligned with site leadership.
  
• Participate as a member of the site leadership team.
  
• Assist in other areas of the company as directed.
  
  Job Requirements
  Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (+4 years without degree)
  Experience: 10+ years in warehouse/shipping/receiving operations; 5+ years in managerial roles; experience in inventory analysis and cost reduction.
  Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  Other Skills: Expertise in MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, Lean Six Sigma, manufacturing processes, project leadership, strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt to priorities.
  Preferred Skills: Degree in Supply Chain or related field, APICS certification, ERP system experience (e.g., M3), demonstrated financial improvement projects, Lean Six Sigma certification, manufacturing process expertise.
