A reputable non profit Medical Center in sunny and warm area of Central California is actively searching for Clinical Lab Scientist to add to its prestigious team. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will perform quantitative and qualitative clinical laboratory determinations as requested by physicians including procurement of specimens, computation of test results, and submitting completed reports. Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform a full range of laboratory tests, from simple urine screening to more complex blood tests that uncover diseases, such as diabetes and cancer. CLS confirms accuracy of test results and reports laboratory findings to the physicians. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS is also involved in evaluating new tests, choosing new equipment, and performing quality assurance and quality control. CLS will perform accurate pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing of specimens received in the laboratory. Completes record filing processes while avoiding or minimizing errors. This is a single position class in which the Clinical Laboratory Scientist's responsibility of functioning must be based on advanced knowledge and skills in providing diagnostic testing to medical staff. The Clinical -Laboratory Scientist is assigned to work or float in appropriate areas. Responsibilities are expanded to include participation in activities relating to quality assurance, quality control, proficiency testing, policy and procedure review, in-service training and staff development.The Clinical Laboratory Scientist -CLS -will join a hospital that thrives to provide the best patient care to the surrounding community.
