Job Description HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse Correctional for a travel nursing job in California City, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Correctional - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Facility: California City Correctional Center by Core Civic 1) RN Corrections job but correctional experience is not required only US citizens accepted , GC holders not accepted. (New Grads encouraged to apply and experienced nurses welcome with open arms) 2) 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse required only. 3) weekly pay 4) Facility Type: Level II (low–medium) security prison Job Description: - Monitor inmate/resident hospitalizations for early release eligibility. - Observe and document behavior. Inspect and secure the medical unit, disposing of contraband risks. - Escort or coordinate inmate/resident transport for medical care. - Conduct searches for contraband on persons and objects. - Perform security checks in confined areas and during shifts. De-escalate or prevent disruptive situations. - Supervise and guide nursing and non-licensed medical staff. - Collaborate with facility staff and external providers. Follow policies and exercise sound judgment in all tasks.
