Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 37 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join the Birthplace unit in our California facility. This role is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing dynamic clinical situations and committed to delivering exceptional family-centered care. /n/n/nKey Responsibilities:/n/n /n/t - /n/t Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation /n/t /n/t - /n/t Provide direct patient care within the scope of nursing practice and established standards of care /n/t /n/t - /n/t Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery, recognizing and responding to emergent changes /n/t /n/t - /n/t Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including fetal monitoring, medication administration, and recovery support /n/t /n/t - /n/t Guide and educate patients and families through labor, birth, and postpartum transitions /n/t /n/t - /n/t Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure positive outcomes /n/t /n/t - /n/t Direct and delegate responsibilities to other nursing personnel as appropriate /n/t /n/t - /n/t Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and visitors /n/t /n/t - /n/t Utilize the chain of command when necessary to advocate for patient safety and well-being /n/t /n /n/n/nQualifications:/n/n /n/t - /n/t Current California RN License (Required) /n/t /n/t - /n/t BLS and ACLS certification (AHA, Required) /n/t /n/t - /n/t NRP certification (Required) /n/t /n/t - /n/t Fetal Monitoring certification (Preferred or Required depending on facility) /n/t /n/t - /n/t Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience (Preferred) /n/t /n/t - /n/t Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills /n/t /n/t - /n/t Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments /n/t /n Sable Corporation Job ID 2025-91.
