Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design, development, and testing of ground software for the Masten XL-1 lunar lander
• Will be a key interface between Flight Software and Mission Operations in a small team environment
• Support the development, documentation, and implementation of ground support software, procedures, and processes, including tracking and ensuring the resolution of ground software enhancements and issues
• Understand risk management processes and methods for adjudication program risk mitigation strategies
  
  Required Skills:
  
  • General industry background
  • Experience in full-cycle space mission development and operations, including launch, or similar
  • Experience with spacecraft or remote location communications, commands, and operations
  • Familiarity with ground system networks, consoles, databases, and communication systems
    
    Technical skills:
    
    • Experience in mission customization of ground software for flight systems or similar applications-Space Application's YAMCS Software Suite strongly preferred
    • 1-5 years of hands-on experience in YAML, XML (XTCE preferred), and REST API
    • Experience in Python (preferred, with type annotations a plus) or JavaScript
    • Recent hands-on experience with SQL-based RDBMS management, including server configuration and operation, table/column management, data import/export, querying, etc. PostgreSQL would be ideal
    • Basic network configuration and management background
      
      General skills:
      
      • Strong drive for development, documentation, and communication of processes and procedures
      • Ability to quickly adapt to change and take direction as new information becomes available
      • Clear communication, planning, prioritization, and management skills among team members and subgroups, both within and outside of the company
      • Ability to multitask and pivot as needed within a fast-paced, small team
        
        Preferred Experience:
        
        • Spacecraft Launch and Early orbit support experience
        • Spacecraft ground system evaluation and testing experience
          
          Location: Remote role, with 10% or less on-site as needed.
          
          Due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to space technology, candidates must be "U.S. Persons" as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) 22 CFR 120-130. In general, this means candidates shall be US Citizens (dual nationality is okay in most cases), Permanent Residents (current, valid green card), or other "protected" categories.
