Job Overview:

The Services team works to empower learners, partners, and enterprise customers to achieve their goals on Coursera. The team is made up of four sub-teams: Learner Services, Partner Services, Program Management, and Teaching & Learning. We help learners succeed by implementing innovative systems and processes that solve problems. We also develop best practices and technical expertise to enable our partners to create high-quality content. As strong advocates for the Coursera community, we work to align cross-functional teams and build scalable solutions to continuously improve the Coursera experience.

Coursera is looking for a Content Manager to join our Guided Projects team and focus our Computer Science catalog. You will collaborate with colleagues in Product, Content Strategy, Data Science, and Teaching and Learning to build world class Guided Projects for our global audience. In particular, you will be responsible for developing the strategy for this topic, building a roadmap of projects, qualifying and sourcing top Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to teach the projects, managing the backlist of projects and, working with the team to drive impact across the business.


  • Conduct research to identify trends and determine what topics and software tools are essential for today's professional to be successful in their job
  • Use external research and internal data to build a roadmap of high quality Guided Projects to develop in the Computer Science domains
  • Source and vet top SMEs via inbound applications, internal recommendations, and your own external research and outreach
  • Work with SMEs to provide guidance, outline expectations, and develop the plan for their Guided Project(s)
  • Review and track data on catalog performance and maintain backlist of Guided Projects ensuring MVP projects are up to date and deprecating projects as needed
  • Work with team to refine processes and procedures to ensure an efficient workflow
    Basic Qualifications:
    • 3+ years experience in Content Strategy or Curriculum Development
    • Prior experience working with Computer Science topics
    • Prior experience working with external stakeholders, vendors, or SMEs
    • Experience working with data to inform strategy and decision making
    • Proven track record of successfully leading projects
      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
      • Strong innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills
      • Attention to detail and strong client service skills
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile, product-focused, team environment
      • Experience with Excel and SQL is a plus
      • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
