Job Description:
Job Summary:
The Network Administrator will provide specifications and detailed
schematics for network architecture Designs, installs, configures,
and maintains organizations' network and telecommunications
systems. . This position will document network problems and
resolution for future reference, while monitoring network
performance/security and implementing performance tuning. The role
will also maintain the inventory of all network equipment and
ensures licensing compliance in accordance with local, state,
federal, and international law. The Network Administrator maintains
technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware
and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers,
multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. The role
evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance
the capabilities of the network and provides user interface and
support for facility Network and/or Telecommunications systems as
needed. This position reports directly to the IT Director.
Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited
to:
Plan, implement, and manage network systems.
Troubleshoot network infrastructure and associated systems.
Document network hardware and software technology components.
Install and configure routers, switches, and firewalls.

Interface regularly with customers and manage customer installation
timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful
deployments.
Manage timely resolution of all critical and/or complex incidents
meeting SLA requirements Advanced knowledge and ability to program
Cisco IOS devices Ability to type with an acceptable
proficiency.
Ability to communicate verbally in a coherent manner.
Required Qualifications:
4+ year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 4+
years' experience in supporting computer network systems.
CCNA Certification with Switching and Routing
Security+ Certification (or equivalent)
Experience working with Microsoft Windows, Cisco Systems IOS,
Fortinet, and/or Linux
Proficient understanding of computer/network-related software and
hardware.
Able to read and create network diagrams.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio.
Experience with Cisco and Fortinet Switches, Routers, Hubs, Cables,
Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, and
QoS Strong Advanced Network Troubleshooting Skills
Organizational skills to own work, set priorities, and meet
critical deadlines Discretion
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
Essential Job Functions:
Requires mobility and the ability to bend and reach
May infrequently require lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling
materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
Manual dexterity and coordination are required; repetitive hand
motion (e.g., to operate computer keyboard)
Vision at close distances and the ability to adjust focus for
prolonged periods (i.e., computer screen)
Ability to remain sedentary or stationary for prolonged periods of
time
Ability to write for extended periods of time
Ability to work in an office setting for prolonged periods of
time
May be asked to carry up to 20 lbs. up and down a flight of stairs
on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc.
Occasional reaching overhead and lifting up to 15 pounds
Ability to converse and communicate information with others
Occasional exposure to chemical vapors and/or fumes in low
non-hazardous concentration
Potential to climb up and down steps on a daily basis
Must be able to read and understand SDS
