Job Description:
Job Description Job Description About myPlace Health myPlace
Health was founded in 2021 by mission-aligned healthcare leaders
and organizations that are committed to drastically improving
health outcomes, quality and experience for vulnerable older adults
and frail seniors. We specialize in providing value-based,
comprehensive care and coverage for older adults with significant
needs so they can thrive in the homes they love and in the
communities they cherish. Our mission is simple: to enable older
adults to live the independent lives they deserve. We pursue this
mission through our myPlace PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for
the Elderly) model, which provides seamless primary care,
integrated health plan coverage, personalized social engagement,
and customized services delivered in the participant’s preferred
place. myPlace Health is building a mission-driven team that shares
our passion for redefining the way older adults experience care as
they “age in place” in the community. This is a unique opportunity
to take on one of our country’s most challenging healthcare
problems and join a fast-growing, dynamic team as we prepare to
scale our mission to serve more markets. About this Role Are you
ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare through technology?
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Informatics Product
Specialist to join our team and play a key role in shaping the
future of our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. This is a
unique opportunity to drive meaningful change by improving
workflows, enhancing functionality, and creating a better user
experience for our healthcare providers. As the Informatics Product
Specialist , you’ll collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders,
operations, and development teams to ensure our EMR solutions are
not only effective but truly transformative for patient care.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Informatics, you’ll lead
projects and implementations that bridge the gap between technology
and patient outcomes—helping us deliver innovative,
provider-friendly solutions that make a real difference in people’s
lives. If you’re mission-driven and excited to bring together
people, processes, and technology to improve healthcare delivery,
we’d love to have you on our team! What does success look like as
an Informatics Product Specialist? Turn data into decisions:
Monitor EMR performance and adoption using qualitative feedback and
quantitative data to guide prioritization, product decisions, and
enhancements. Make work easier for the people doing it: Drive
continuous improvement by regularly evaluating end-user workflows
and identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and
strengthen outcomes. Spot friction early—and fix it fast: Track
readiness and intervene when performance, quality, usability, or
adoption issues emerge, coordinating cross-functional
problem-solving and ensuring follow-through to resolution. Connect
the dots across teams: Identify recurring skill and performance
gaps and share themes with Clinical Operations, Care Delivery
Operations, Quality, and Health Plan Operations to inform
recruiting, training, coaching, and change management strategies.
Design with compliance in mind: Ensure EMR solutions meet
applicable regulatory, legal, and organizational standards,
including privacy and security requirements. Partner to reduce
risk: Embed compliance into product design and delivery by
collaborating with Compliance, Security/IT, Clinical Operations,
and other stakeholders to review requirements, mitigate risk, and
document decisions. Translate regulations into real-world
workflows: Maintain working knowledge of key healthcare regulations
and standards (e.g., HIPAA and interoperability requirements) and
turn them into clear system requirements, workflows, and user
guidance. Set a clear north star: Define and communicate the EMR
product vision and strategy, aligning priorities with
organizational goals, the myPlace mission, and end-user needs.
Build a roadmap that delivers impact: Translate business and
clinical objectives into an actionable product roadmap, sequencing
work to drive measurable improvements across the care delivery
model. Keep delivery moving: Own Agile product delivery practices,
including backlog management, sprint planning, UAT coordination,
and release planning in partnership with Engineering and
operational stakeholders. Create clarity for execution: Elicit and
document requirements and feature specifications, maintaining
clear, current documentation in Azure DevOps (ADO) and supporting
SAFe Agile ceremonies for product teams. Elevate the workflows that
matter most: Lead workflow design improvements (e.g., CarePlan
workflow uplift) with clinical and operational leaders to validate
usability, compliance, and adoption. Pitch in where it matters
most: Take on additional duties and special projects as needed to
support team priorities, operational goals, and the successful
delivery of EMR improvements. What does an ideal candidate look
like? Mission-first, people-first: Passion and mission orientation
for serving high-risk seniors and frail older adults. A strong
foundation to build on: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics or
a closely related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
Hands-on EMR product experience: Proven product ownership/product
management experience in healthcare IT with meaningful exposure to
EMR/EHR platforms (Athena preferred where applicable). PACE
fluency: Strong knowledge of PACE clinical workflows and the PACE
operating environment, including regulations and compliance
expectations. Turn workflows into build-ready requirements:
Demonstrated ability to translate clinical and operational
workflows into clear product requirements (e.g., user stories,
acceptance criteria, process maps). Collaborative and
cross-functional: Experience partnering with Clinical Ops, Care
Delivery Ops, Quality, Health Plan Ops, IT, and Analytics to drive
alignment, decisions, and adoption. Product mindset with strong
judgment: Grounded in product principles—asks “why,” prioritizes
impact, iterates based on learning, and adapts quickly as needs
evolve. Comfort in Agile delivery: Familiarity with Agile (and/or
SAFe), including backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, UAT
coordination, and release planning. Data-driven prioritization:
Comfortable defining and tracking KPIs and using insights to guide
prioritization and continuous improvement. Usability obsessed:
Strong understanding of user experience principles and
data-informed design, with a focus on adoption in clinical
settings. Compliance-aware by default: Working knowledge of
healthcare privacy/security expectations (e.g., HIPAA) and comfort
partnering on interoperability-related requirements. Clear
communicator through change: Able to communicate tradeoffs, set
expectations, and support end users through workflow and system
changes—especially in an early-stage environment. Pertinent
Information Schedule you can count on: Monday–Friday during normal
business hours. Hybrid, with in-person connection: This role is
hybrid and will travel to our sites up to 3 times per week to
support workflow needs, adoption, and stakeholder collaboration.
Built for collaboration: You’ll partner with a team that’s a mix of
in-market and hybrid , so comfort working across locations and
staying aligned through both in-person and virtual touchpoints is
key. The Working Environment Hybrid work setting: This role is
split between working from home and working on-site at our centers,
based on project needs, stakeholder partnership, and support
priorities. On-site center environment: When in the center, you’ll
work in a professional office/clinic setting with typical ambient
noise and frequent interaction with clinical and operational teams.
Collaborative, fast-moving workstyle: Expect a mix of focused
independent work (documentation, analysis, roadmap planning) and
high-collaboration time (meetings, workflow reviews,
training/support, and cross-functional alignment). Tech-enabled
work: Daily use of computers, video conferencing, and collaboration
tools to partner effectively with hybrid and in-market teams. The
Physical Requirements Computer-based work: Ability to sit for
extended periods and perform repetitive hand/finger movements for
typing, clicking, and using standard office equipment. Technology
independence: Ability to independently use and troubleshoot basic
technology (laptop/desktop, EMR/health IT platforms, video
conferencing, collaboration tools) to complete daily work.
Communication and collaboration: Ability to speak, hear, and
communicate clearly in person and virtually (phone/video) to
participate in meetings, trainings, and stakeholder conversations.
On-site mobility (as needed): Ability to move throughout a
center/office environment to attend meetings, conduct workflow
observations, and collaborate with teams. Minimal lifting:
