for?!Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Electrical
Manager with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all
levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible,
resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of
professionalism and confidentiality. The Electrical Manager will
provide electrical technical support throughout the entire

foundedResponsibilitiesA - Provide technical electrical support1.
Identify qualified electrical contractors and engineers and
maintain list of areas of their expertise and geographical limits2.
Review design documents to ensure conformance with contract
expectations, noting and resolving issues or conflicts that could
impact installation or other trades involved with project3. Review
system studies performed by engineer of record, ensuring
conformance with contract documents4. Identify and ensure
implementation of standards and low-cost alternatives, ensuring all
clients are kept informed of issues affecting their project(s)5.
Develop standard bid package bid form for tower wiring, collection
system, substations, T-line, and interconnect6. Collaborate with
other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, and
inspections support the project schedule7. Work with Project
Manager(s) to budget, forecast, and manage craft labor, equipment,
materials, small tools, consumables, and general working
environment8. Review construction documents for completeness and
constructability9. Support the creation, review and update project
schedule and 3 week look ahead scheduling10. Coordinate plans and
specifications with engineers, identifying and clarifying any
discrepancies11. Develop and implement site utilization plan and
establish crew sizes12. Select formwork systems and equipment13.
Conduct effective pre-construction planning sessions and project
site meetingsB - Provide onsite support to electrical team1. Manage
electrical engineers2. Provide electrical design and installation
support to on-site staff3. Coach, mentor and train field personnel,
forepersons, and assistant superintendents4. Establish and nurture
teamwork environment5. Ensure crews have resources and support6.
Provide work direction and performance evaluations7. Identify
hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal
decisions if needed8. Develop leadership potential through
appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities9.
Implement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at project site10.
Manage open shop and union issuesC. Other duties as assigned1.
Maintain relationships with all visitors to the site: customers,
architects, union representatives,subcontractors, etc.2. Manage
site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for
improvementD. Effectively work and build relationships with those
of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsE. Lead team
members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and

useEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA. Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering or equivalent fieldB. Minimum eight years
electrical construction management and/or electrical design
experienceC. Minimum one-year experience with project completion
from mobilization to turnoverD. Proficiency in medium and high
voltage technical knowledgeE. Specialized knowledge/experience in
an area of electrical control, substations, t-line, etc.F. Current
