SUMMARYThe primary purpose of this position is to lead the investigative process for suspected drug losses. The incumbent is responsible for planning, leading, and executing initial investigative steps, confirmation of initial covert auditing, ongoing investigation monitoring, and case documentation for reported and suspected losses of controlled substance medications. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid's brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:Prioritize, schedule, and lead initial investigative steps, confirmation of initial covert auditing, ongoing investigation monitoring, and case documentation for reported and suspected losses of controlled substance medications. This requires coordination of, licensed pharmacists for audits, RAPL, RPL, and SLOI for guidance, direction, and subject matter expertise.Facilitate the execution, and accurate completion of, the initial covert audit count of target controlled medication(s) identified in an Initial Notification fillings with the DEA and or state BOP. Frequent independent judgments on who should be involved in this investigative step are essential.Accurately record audit count results, accurately run a Drug Utilization Review (DUR) using Agilence RX 20.20 tool, and determine next investigative steps based on DUR results.Accurately document, in a timely manner, all investigative steps taken. Including but not limited to audit counts obtained, DUR results, and any other appropriate information in the Asset Protection case management tool.Prioritize, schedule, lead ongoing investigative steps, and case completion of lower risk (Level 2) suspected losses of controlled substance medications. Frequent independent judgments of when to involve the SLOI in this investigative and completion process are essential.Facilitate or conduct execution of associate loss interviews. Obtain and record written associate statements information in the Asset Protection case management tool. Experience / Requirements Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. 6 months of experience Loss prevention, asset protection, shrink investigation preferred. 6 months of experience Pharmacy experience preferred. 6 months of experience Auditing experience preferred. Other, PLEASE LIST BY NAME Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) preferred
