Quality Assurance Coordinator

Job Description:

*SUMMARY*The QA Coordinator is responsible to assist the Quality Manager and or function in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System. This includes document control, calibration related activities, prepare and assist internal/external audits, and any other key tasks to support the on-going activities in the Quality Management area.*JOB DESCRIPTION *Document Control Department:* Control retrieval of documents by reviewing the document for identification or formatting issues* Store/Archive inactive records in accordance with records retention requirements* Scan, organize and maintain documents* Receive and process requests for information* Assist in updating and maintaining quality documentation, procedure promote training* Perform QA review of production documentation for completeness and accuracy* Assist with internal/external audits and coordinating required follow-up actions* Calibration Department:* Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained* Assist with the completion of reports requested by management* Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Control area according to maintenance and calibration procedures* Trouble shoot calibration equipment* Basic cleaning of the lab at all times* Meet with supervision daily on any issues of equipment for production* Data Entry tracking and interpretation on analytical data* Knowledge, skill and ability to operate routine lab equipment* Participate in driving continuous improvement* Implement policies and procedures for calibration* Conducting or assisting with regulatory and quality training sessions* Preparing and maintaining quality management documentation* Perform all other duties as assigned*Skills/Knowledge Required: ** Excellent computer skills are required including proficiency in (MS Office (Word, Excel, Access)* Experience in reviewing charts for care issues* Detail oriented organizational skills* Must be able to handle multiple cases, directions and be able to follow-through;* Good communication skills both verbal and written* Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and as a member of a team* Assist in coaching and training employees as requested by the management team*REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * - High school diploma, GED equivalent or higher - Minimum 1 year experience in comparable or related job duties - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - QMS and ISO experience prefer.*WORK ENVIRONMENT*The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
