Patient Food Services (Full-time, Varibale Shift) -

The Food Operations Lead supervises employees involved in patient, cafeteria and catering functions. Ensures efficient operation of areas in accordance with established policies and procedures of LLUMC-Murrieta. Monitors quality, quantity and temperatures of foods. Ensures staff adheres to sanitary and safety procedures in all food operations. Assists with employee performance evaluations and staff scheduling. Performs other duties as needed.

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum two years experience as a food service supervisor with demonstrated leadership abilities required. Dietary Manager's Association training and membership preferred. Riverside County Food Handler's Card required. Food Safety Certification from an accredited food protection manager certification organization, such as ServSafe, is preferred in lieu of a food handler card.

Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and listening skills. Coordinate body movements to effectively keep pace with the job. Work as a team player to achieve both LLUMC-Murrieta and departmental goals. Able to have others cooperate or follow a specific course of action; Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with coworkers and supervisors. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
