Job Description:

THE GIGThis position, an integral part of the Americas Leadership Team, is responsible for all marketing activities across Dr. Martens' North America business. This person will develop and deliver best-in-class marketing strategies and plans that bring in new consumers, deepen loyalty with existing, and deliver on the brand and business goals for the region.
This person must be able to successfully lead within a complex matrix organization - across functions and global / regional teams - and to develop the organizational structure, people and mix of skill-sets required to win in today's ever-changing consumer experience world. This person will combine vision and strategy with a deep understanding of marketing fundamentals and analytics, alongside excellent people management skills, to build full-funnel cross-channel plans that inspire and connect with our target consumers.
You get the Dr. Martens brand and are excited to play an integral role on the Americas Leadership Team in helping to drive exponential, brand building growth for DMs over the coming years.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the vision and strategy for the Americas marketing function, working closely with Product & Commercial teams to build annual and seasonal marketing plans that deliver on both brand and business goals; evolve the GTM process to enable this.
  • Develop and execute full funnel integrated campaigns that amplify the key global stories and support regional needs, driving both DTC & wholesale channels, top and bottom line results.
  • Own the regional consumer strategy and insights, ensuring regional needs are built into the global strategy and plans, and that all initiatives are developed with the consumer and youth culture at their center.
  • Lead the development of the Americas DTC marketing strategy, working closely with the regional ecom & retail teams, and global marketing team, to deliver plans that drive exponential growth of Dr Martens' owned channels; Ensure our brand is coming to life in the right way on Drmartens.com and in our stores, and work cross-functionally to develop the omni-channel vision for the region.
  • Lead the paid media strategy for the Americas, ensuring effective and efficient full funnel plans that deliver on all key objectives; Work closely with the VP of Ecommerce to ensure brand and ecom budgets are working holistically, and being measured, tracked and reported on.
  • Own the regional content strategy, working with Global & Regional creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels and the right mix of emotional and functional storytelling to deliver on brand and business goals.
  • Oversee the regional marketing budget, setting spend allocation across the year, the funnel, and competing objectives; Measure and report on initiative performance, distilling learnings for future plans.
  • Develop your team into high-performing, high-functioning employees within a cohesive, effective brand marketing unit.

    To join our team, you will need a strong mix of marketing and leadership capabilities:
    • Proven experienced senior marketer in brand strategy, annual & seasonal marketing planning, content & communications, within lifestyle, fashion, and/or youth culture industries.
    • A proven track record developing impactful brand campaigns, product launches & grassroots activations that drive brand and business results.
    • Digital first mindset, with experience testing new, innovative marketing techniques and channels; Must have DTC marketing experience.
    • In-depth understanding of today's media landscape; Proven ability to combine data and research into marketing communications to maximize results; Understanding of the importance of analytics and martech to develop effective plans.
    • Deep consumer understanding, including how to build actionable consumer targets and work across the funnel to bring in new users and drive loyalty with existing.
    • Experience building a cross channel content strategy, briefing in creative teams, and delivering brand right content across the marketing mix.
    • Significant experience partnering with external agencies, including agency selection, briefing and management.
    • Experience managing large marketing budgets across the marketing mix, inclusive of measurement and ROI analysis.
    • Experience designing and shifting organizational structures as a business grows and evolves.

    • Ability to work at a standard computer setup for 40+ hours per week, with or without accommodations.
