Description:
The Senior Colleague & Labor Relations Partner contributes to the
development, implementation, and management of colleague relations
strategies, philosophies, processes, and programs. They regularly
interact and consult with Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS)
management and regional Colleague COE leadership to manage,
resolve, and analyze colleague relations matters, including
conducting complex investigations and responding to sensitive
complaints.
Position responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the organization's mission and core values
consistently.
- Adhere to all laws and regulations related to patient health,
safety, and medical information.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director/Manager, HR Business
Partners, and leadership to develop and apply colleague relations
policies, ensuring a positive work environment.
- Provide expertise to coach management on resolving complex
colleague relations issues, including investigations and
complaints.
- Work with internal teams to manage organizational risk, ensure
HR compliance, and partner with external bodies as needed.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of colleague relations programs,
developing remediation plans as necessary.
- Manage and facilitate resolution processes for sensitive
colleague issues, including investigations and
documentation.
- Resolve high-risk matters within the Just Culture framework,
ensuring policy consistency.
- Develop protocols for monitoring and addressing diversion and
fitness for duty issues.
- Assist in implementing response strategies during
organizational changes such as Mergers, Divestitures, and
Acquisitions.
- Conduct training on topics like Just Culture and employment
law.
- Advocate for fair workplace practices aligned with Trinity
Health's mission and legal standards.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and compliance
standards.
- Perform other related duties as directed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business
Administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education
and experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws related to HR and colleague
relations.
- Advanced understanding of employment laws and application in
workplace settings.
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and reasoning skills.
Compensation:
Pay range: $86,569 - $134,201
Actual salary varies based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, and comparison to similar roles.
