The Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Business Unit is Blue
Origin's team dedicated to developing mission architectures,

will lead the electrical integration and test efforts for space
vehicles. This includes integration of electrical subsystems into
the spacecraft and ensuring compatibility with Electrical Ground
Support Equipment (EGSE). In a fast-paced dynamic environment, you
will architect the functional test program, develop test plans, and
oversee test procedure and test script development. You will lead
electrical test execution during vehicle integration all the way
through final testing in preparation for launch.You will contribute
to the successful completion a major test campaign. Including
planning, writing test plans and test procedures, developing test
equipment, and compiling test reports.We are looking for someone to

- Maintain test schedule, conduct and/or oversee several test
projects simultaneously
- Author test plans, procedures, and reports
- Develop test scripts
- Operate test consoles and execute test processes
- Perform verification of system requirements and subsystem
qualification
- Ensure all operations are performed on time, safely and in a
professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to work with test, flight and safety
critical hardware, tools and shop equipment
- Setup and safely operate high energy systems (e.g., pressurized
fluid systems and electrical)
- Operate and maintain environmental test equipment including
data acquisition systems, environmental chambers, vibration systems
and instrumentation systems
- Configure test setups, fixtures and instrumentation per test
plans and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of test equipment and test lab
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule and
technical risks
- Participate in Process/Job Hazard Assessments/Test Readiness
ReviewsQualifications:
- Previous experience with flight hardware test campaign planning
and execution
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering discipline from an ABET
accredited school
- Minimum 3 years of experience with the following: spacecraft
functional test development and/or execution, hardware ownership
(responsible engineer), or hardware qualification and/or acceptance
testing (Position level commensurate with experience)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards
and technical requirements
- Ability to perform data analysis and reduction and present
technical information in a clear and compelling visual format
- Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on
experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical
operations
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
- Previous experience leading technical teams
- Hands-on test and production facility, factory or laboratory
experience
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or system
integration labs (SIL)
- Demonstrated experience where quick-thinking and problem
solving plays a critical role
- Experience with requirements development/management tools;
DOORS, DOORS Next Gen and lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data,
Windchill
- Hands-on testing experience in thermal, vibration, shock and
vacuum testing on flight hardware in accordance with MIL-STD-810,
SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-1540
- Experienced with high pressure/energy system design and
handling
- Intermediate skill level using NI Labview / TestStand
- 3+ years previous experience operating test equipment of a
