fun. Your role as Proposal Analyst is critical, as you will help
shape the future of Scaled! Most assignments are complex and
performed independently without appreciable direction. This
fulltime onsite position reports to the Director of Business
Development & Security.Duties and Responsibilities include, but are
not limited to:
- Plan and lead proposal activities and coordinate internal
milestones.
- Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the
development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal
(RFP) specifications
- Research and analyze historical data to develop cost models in
support of proposal efforts
- Assist in creating database of prior Scaled efforts that
captures historical performance data
- Analyze specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills
of material, or sample layouts, and calculates costs using labor
and material pricing metrics and historical data
- Participate in scope, schedule, and pricing reviews with
management and customer representatives
- Seek out and incorporate proposal input from project teams,
contracts, and support departments
- Actively participate in contract negotiating team including
transition of new efforts
- Perform program closeout analysis
- Ensure external laws, internal procedures, and standards are
met
- Field, organize, and respond to customer solicitations and
requests
- Ability to multi-task and work multiple assignments
simultaneouslyRequired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years professional relevant proposal experience
in aerospace or defense
- Active Secret DOD clearance
- In-depth understanding of the RFP response and proposal process
from inception to submission
- Must be able to work well independently with attention to
detail and strong organizational and process management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include
interpreting and organizing information to improve clarity
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, time sensitive
environment
- Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project,
with the ability to learn new software
- Technical writing experience with ability to communicate
effectively and clearly present technical approaches and
findings
- Travel may be required, up to 5% (CONUS)Desired Qualifications:
- Active or the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DOD
clearance
- A bachelor's degree in related field; business or engineering
preferred
- Experience with the US Government acquisition process,
including strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition
Regulations (FAR)Essential Job Functions:
- Requires mobility and the ability to bend and reach
- May infrequently require lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or
pulling materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required; repetitive hand
motion (e.g., to operate computer keyboard)
- Vision at close distances and the ability to adjust focus for
prolonged periods (i.e., computer screen)
- Ability to remain sedentary or stationary for prolonged periods
of time
- Ability to write for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in an office setting for prolonged periods of
time
- May be asked to carry up to 20 lbs. up and down a flight of
stairs on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment,
etc.
- Occasional reaching overhead and lifting up to 15 pounds
- Ability to converse and communicate information with
others
- Occasional exposure to chemical vapors and/or fumes in low
non-hazardous concentration
- Potential to climb up and down steps on a daily basis
- Must be able to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Salary Range: $107,040-$160,560If salary position: This position is
