Job Posting: Buyer – Aerospace Industry Location: Irvine, CA Pay Rate: $32 – $43 per hour Our aerospace client in Irvine, CA is seeking a Buyer to support their procurement operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-class team and play a key role in sourcing materials, parts, and services necessary to support critical aerospace production. Position Summary: The Buyer is responsible for obtaining the best quality, service, and value through effective sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management. This position supports limited scope and complexity purchasing functions by identifying manufacturing needs, selecting suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and arranging timely delivery of goods and services. Key Responsibilities: Identify sourcing requirements and evaluate suppliers to obtain optimal value. Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Utilize MRP and ERP systems for order management and tracking. Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality) to fulfill material and component needs. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement and supply chain efficiency. Maintain compliance with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Entry-level or early-career professional (internship experience acceptable). Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification preferred. Familiarity with procurement best practices and negotiation principles. Basic understanding of legal and regulatory procurement requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing/MRP systems (e.g., EDI, SAP). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret financial data and procurement metrics. Capable of working with minimal supervision and managing multiple priorities. Why Join This Team?
